A unique take on vampire survivors, leaning into the "survival" genre with gathering and crafting. Expect to die quite a bit until you get familiar with the systems.

This is my first game, which I developed over the course of a weekend as my personal game jam. Please let me know what you think! I used Godot 4, Pixelorama, and various asset packs.

Guide:

Crafting Recipes (Place resources on the log):

  • 3 wood - Spear
  • 2 wood, 1 stone - axe
  • 1 wood, 2 stone - scythe
  • 1 wood, 2 ingot - sword

Bonfire (Place resources in the fire):

  • wood - bonfire light grows larger
  • stone - gain localized light allowing you to wonder from the fire without taking damage
  • ore - smelt into ingot

I like the part where there is a glitch you can live without being in the fire without being in the fire.  I don't know if you attend to do that, but it looks like I don't suppose to be rounding around without health.

Took me a bit to understand what am I fighting against at the start, torches on head little creatures?  Solid work, though I'd suggest to add more "crunch" to the combat, perhaps a highlight if you hit a creature, it flashes .  Otherwise a good game prototype that could be expanded more out of the initial loop.
